Read on!If you're anything like me, you search the net and find lots of happy nails, yet it's not very easy trying to search the internet for great, easy to follow information on how to actually get fabulous looking, healthy nails and how to look after them or how to enhance them is it? Without actually taking Nail Technician courses, it can be quite difficult to know whether becoming a Nail Tech is the right career for you. Even if you are already an acrylics Technician either working from home, mobile or in a salon, are thinking about becoming one or are just interested in how nail services are performed properly, then please bookmark this site as it's certainly going to be an education!
You may find a lot of nails and nail art sites out there, but do they give you all the information you want? Perhaps. There are a few nail art sites or 'how to' videos around, and you may have found them, although as you may have discovered, the nail industry while claiming to be open, is actually a tight knit community of Nail Technicians who would rather you didn't know 'how to' unless you get proper, authorised training. So you never get 'the whole story'. And rightly so! In the nail industry, the skills and knowledge that are required and acquired through training is continuous hard work and an art, and should be treated with respect. Things like insurance, public liability and access to professional nail supplies will be available to you once you become registered and trained. I will show you here though, step-by-step, in still pictures and video, how to perform treatments properly, acrylics application, manicures and pedicures. I'll even give you free information on ailments and home remedies for nail fungus, the lowdown on nail diseases, their causes and their treatments. Why would I do that? I decided to create this training website to help you, because if you are considering becoming a Professional Nail Technician, then you can see how things are done, learn how to look after nails, hands and feet properly, learn how to apply acrylics in the proper way and learn what all the technological terms are, why they are important and what to look out for BEFORE committing to just one of the many courses that could cost you in the region of a thousand pounds. In my opinion though, this was the best money I ever spent and I have the best career in the world!
Educators will tell you to read books and only study those before you embark on a new acrylics course. Personally I found that physically practising, actually 'doing acrylic nails' beforehand, really made my mind up that this is what I wanted to do, and consequently because I had practised, I found was just that bit better when it came to the actual course. My nails were pretty much up to standard before I finished my Foundation acrylics course, and it really showed when you looked around at other model's hands who's trainees hadn't practised. I had to learn to do acrylics on my own, because although I belong to a great forum, it is really frowned upon if you try to practise physically before your course begins. I can see why, as with anything, you can pick up bad habits. I will in time be offering half day 'pre-course acrylics' tutoring for people who are thinking about making the leap into this great profession. Almost like a 'taster day' and a prelude to Foundation Nail Technician Courses. It will let you get the feel of whether you think becoming a Nail Technician is for you. That way, if you can get a handle on it and enjoy it, then it will inspire confidence and get you on your way to becoming a fantastic Nail Technician! I wish I'd had something as valuable as this available to me when I was deciding. A grand is a lot of money to save up when you have a house and two kids to support. And if I'd not liked it? I'd have wasted a lot of time and a lot of money. I don't want that to happen to anyone who wants to begin a career in nails. I want you to know it is something you want to do before laying out a whole lot of cash, then realising that maybe, after all, it really isn't what you thought it would be.
